On any given night a Holiday Inn might host a youth sports team, a sales rep, a wedding party and a family on a road trip. Holiday Inn hotel furniture has to suit all of them: comfortable enough for a week of business travel, tough enough for children and luggage, and simple enough for housekeeping to turn quickly.
Coral Hotel Furniture supplies full service properties in the USA with guest room casegoods, headboards, beds, sleeper seating and vanities, plus furniture for the open lobby, restaurant, bar and meeting rooms.
You bring the approved brand specification from your franchise documents, and we build to it in the sizes and finishes it calls for. Read on for the lobby and room breakdown, a checklist table, material advice and our process for new builds, renovations and PIP projects.
Holiday Inn is a full service brand with a broad guest mix. Families book double queen rooms and want space for bags, somewhere for children to sit and often an extra bed. Business guests book kings and want a desk, good light and outlets. One furniture family has to serve both without looking like a compromise.
The other defining feature is the lobby. Holiday Inn properties are known for an open social lobby where the front desk, lounge, restaurant and bar share one connected space. Guests eat, work and meet there, so public area furniture gets as much use as anything upstairs.
Guest rooms follow brand approved packages, including current design schemes such as H5. Coral builds to whichever scheme your franchise documents specify. The brand owner provides standards to owners through its development team, and those documents always take priority over the general guidance on this page.
Upstairs, the list is familiar, but the details decide how well the room holds up. Our article on how furniture affects guest satisfaction comes back to the same basics: a good bed, a usable desk and enough places to put things.
King rooms take a single wide headboard. Family rooms need an upholstered double queen headboard or two matched panels, with a shared nightstand between the beds.
Families often need one more bed. A sleeper sofa handles that in king rooms and suites, and it gives business guests a place to sit that is not the bed. The mechanism matters as much as the fabric, so ask to see it opened and closed on the sample.
A desk with a comfortable chair, a dresser or credenza under the television and a media panel to hide cables make up the working wall. In smaller rooms these pieces may be combined into one long unit.
Schemes vary between a built closet and an open wardrobe unit. Either way, guests need a hanging rail, a shelf and a luggage bench with a top that resists wheel marks and scuffs.
Bathroom vanities need a moisture resistant base, a durable top and room below for towels.
Where this table differs from your franchise documents, the documents win.
| Area | Furniture items | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Bed wall | Headboard, bed base or frame, nightstands | Built in power, firm wall fixing, fabric that hides wear |
| Seating | Sleeper sofa, lounge chair, ottoman | Smooth sleeper mechanism, removable cushion covers, solid frame |
| Desk and media wall | Desk, desk chair, dresser or credenza, media panel | Scratch resistant top, cable routes, drawers on metal slides |
| Closet and luggage | Wardrobe or closet fittings, luggage bench, mirror | Strong rail, scuff resistant bench top |
| Bathroom | Vanity base, top, mirror | Moisture resistant materials, sealed edges, towel storage |
| Lobby, restaurant and bar | Reception desk, lounge seating, communal table, dining sets, bar counter | Zoned seating heights, commercial frames, tops that take spills |
Start downstairs, because that is where guests form their first impression. An open lobby has no walls to separate uses, so furniture does the zoning.
A typical package includes:
Browse the range in our lobby and breakfast furniture collection. Many properties also have meeting rooms or a ballroom, and our banquet page shows the stacking chairs and folding tables for those spaces.
Family rooms are hard on furniture. Suitcases hit corners, drinks get spilled and drawers get slammed. Material choices should assume all of that.
High pressure laminate is the workhorse for tops and drawer fronts because it resists scratches, stains and cleaning chemicals. Edge banding should be thick and well bonded, especially on desk fronts, nightstand tops and luggage benches.
Check the hardware list in any quote. Metal drawer slides, sturdy hinges, adjustable levelers and solid sleeper mechanisms are what stop furniture from working loose.
Upholstery in rooms and public areas should be specified to the fire safety requirements in your franchise documents and local code. The National Fire Protection Association publishes codes and standards that many jurisdictions adopt. In bathrooms and around the bar, use moisture resistant cores and seal every cut edge.
Many Holiday Inn projects are renovations of open, trading hotels, where the timeline matters as much as the furniture. Tell us yours when you contact us.

Accessible rooms use the same finishes as standard rooms, so they look and feel like part of the hotel. The pieces themselves differ. Coral supplies ADA platform beds, ADA headboards and an accessible vanity for these rooms.
Layouts and clearances are set by your architect under the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design. List your accessible king and double queen rooms separately in the matrix and we will quote them as their own room types.
Coral also furnishes sister brands, including Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza. Our IHG hotel furniture page compares them.
Email your scheme and room matrix, or tell us about your PIP, and we will prepare a quote for rooms and public areas. Ask about the finance facility at the same time if you would like to use it. Every piece is built for high traffic hospitality use, with durable materials and easy maintenance.
