Home2 Suites Furniture for Flexible Extended Stay Suites

People book Home2 Suites when a hotel room has to stand in for an apartment. They may be relocating, working a long contract or waiting on a house, and they cook, work and unpack fully. The suite, and the Home2 Suites furniture in it, has to adapt to each of those routines.

That is why the package differs from a standard hotel order. Much of it is flexible, movable or multi purpose, and every suite has a kitchen. Pieces get rearranged by guests, not only by housekeeping, so they have to be light enough to shift and tough enough to survive it.

Coral Hotel Furniture supplies furniture for Home2 Suites properties, including casegoods, beds, sleeper sofas, kitchen units and public area pieces. We build to the approved brand specification in the owner’s franchise documents.

Home2 Suites room

Why flexibility drives the Home2 Suites room concept

An extended stay guest uses a suite across a whole day. The same table may hold breakfast, a laptop and a board game before bedtime. Fixed, single purpose furniture wastes space in that setting.

So the room concept leans on pieces that move and combine. A table rolls from the kitchen to the sofa. Storage is open and visible, so guests can see where their things are.

For you as the owner, this raises the bar on construction. Casters, glides, hinges and joints are all handled far more than in a transient hotel.

Flexible work and dining

The movable table is the piece guests touch most. It serves as a desk, a dining table and extra counter space, so it needs locking casters, a hard wearing top and a frame that does not rack when pushed. A C table that slides over the sofa seat adds a second surface for a laptop or a plate.

Living area

A sleeper sofa turns the living area into a second sleeping space for families and colleagues sharing a suite. Check the mechanism as closely as the fabric, since guests open and close it without instructions.

Sleeping area

The bed sits on a platform base with a headboard fixed to the wall. In studio suites the sleeping and living zones share one space, so the headboard wall and the sofa wall should use matching finishes. Nightstands need power, and a shelf or drawer for the things a long stay guest keeps by the bed.

Kitchen

Every suite has a kitchen, which makes cabinets a core part of the order. A compact kitchen unit for suites typically combines base and wall cabinets, a countertop with a sink, and openings for the refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher your specification lists. See our kitchen furniture for apartments and suites for cabinet options.

Storage

Guests staying for weeks bring more than a carry on. Open closets, shelving, drawers and hooks all help, and luggage needs a place to live once it is empty.

Bathroom

A vanity with real storage matters here, as guests unpack toiletries for the whole stay. Ask for a moisture resistant base, a durable top and sealed edges around the sink.

Lobby, breakfast and community spaces

Public areas at an extended stay hotel work like a shared living room. Guests come down to eat breakfast, work away from the suite, or meet colleagues staying in the same building.

A long communal table with power suits all three uses. Around it, plan lounge seating in small groups, plus breakfast tables and chairs.

Our lobby and breakfast furniture collection shows the range, and each piece can be built in the finishes your scheme names. Not sure what your public area drawings require? Send them over and we will take a look.

Materials built for movable furniture and long stays

Movable furniture fails at its connections. Specify casters with a rated commercial load, fixed with through bolts or metal plates instead of short screws into board. Table frames should be welded or braced so they stay square.

For casegoods, high pressure laminate over a composite wood core is the usual choice, with thick edge banding on every exposed edge. Composite panels sold in the USA must comply with the EPA emission standards for composite wood products.

Kitchens need the most attention. Steam, spills and daily cooking test cabinet boxes, hinges and drawer runners in a way a guest room dresser never sees. The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association publishes performance standards for cabinets that are a useful reference when you review a specification. Ask for moisture resistant board around the sink and sealed edges at every cutout.

Upholstery should be commercial grade, easy to clean and compliant with the flammability requirements in your brand documents.
