A Crowne Plaza guest is usually in town for a reason: a client meeting, a conference, a training week. They open a laptop soon after check in and expect the room to work as hard as they do. Crowne Plaza furniture has to deliver on that at the desk, in the chair, along the bed wall and on every surface in between.
Coral Hotel Furniture supplies upscale full service properties across the USA, from guest room casegoods and upholstered headboards to lobby seating and banquet pieces. We have supplied hotel and hospitality furniture since 2012.
We build to the approved brand specification that you, the owner, provide. This page walks through what the brand asks of furniture, zone by zone, and how we handle new builds, renovations and PIP work.
Crowne Plaza sits in the upscale full service segment. The typical guest travels for business, and many arrive as part of a meeting or event held in the same building. The room has to support focused work first and rest second, without feeling like an office.
For furniture, that means a proper work zone, a bed wall with power and light within reach, and lounge seating a guest will choose over the bed for reading or a call. It also means finishes that read as upscale at close range: tight joints, consistent grain or pattern, and drawers that close quietly.
The brand owner publishes franchise standards and design guidance through its own development team. Your franchise documents are the source of truth for scheme, finishes and item lists.
The headboard is the first thing a guest sees. Many upscale schemes call for a wide or oversized panel, often upholstered, with nightstands that carry power and USB outlets. We supply options such as a king upholstered headboard and build custom widths for double queen rooms.
This is where a business hotel is judged. Guests need a surface large enough for a laptop and papers, a chair that supports a long evening of work, and outlets they can reach without moving furniture. A standard desk with an ergonomic task chair covers most king rooms, and we size the desk to the wall your plans allow.
A lounge chair with a small side table gives guests a second place to sit. Choose upholstery that cleans easily and frames that can be reupholstered later instead of replaced.
Dressers, credenzas and media panels hide cabling and hold the television. Closet systems or open wardrobes with a luggage bench round out the room.
Vanity bases with stone or solid surface tops, framed mirrors and open shelving carry the upscale feel into the bathroom. Materials here need to cope with steam and splashing every day.
Use this list to check a quote against your room matrix. Your approved scheme decides the final items and finishes.
| Area | Furniture items | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Bed wall | Headboard, platform bed or frame, nightstands | Solid wall fixing, power and USB at the pillow, wipe clean upholstery |
| Work zone | Desk, task chair | Generous top, cable management, a chair built for long sitting |
| Storage and media | Dresser or credenza, media panel, closet unit, luggage bench | Metal drawer slides, protected edges, hidden cable routes |
| Bathroom | Vanity base, top, mirror | Moisture resistant core, sealed edges, accessible version where required |
| Lobby and bar | Reception desk, lounge groups, communal table, bar seating | Commercial grade frames, tops that resist rings and scratches |
| Meeting space | Stacking chairs, folding tables | Easy stacking, strong frames, hard wearing finishes |
In a full service hotel, public space earns revenue. The lobby works as a lounge and informal meeting place from early morning through the evening, so it needs a mix of seating: soft groups for conversation, communal tables with power for laptop work, and bar or counter seating.
We supply reception desks, lounge seating, communal and dining tables, and bar counters through our lobby and breakfast furniture range.
Meetings are central to this brand. Ballrooms, breakout rooms and prefunction areas need stacking chairs, folding tables and pieces that crews can move and reset quickly. See our banquet furniture page for what we supply for meeting and event space. If you want rooms and event space quoted together, send us both sets of drawings.
Upscale schemes often call for wood veneer or premium high pressure laminate on visible faces. Veneer gives depth and warmth. Laminate resists scratches, luggage knocks and cleaning chemicals.
Edges fail first. Ask for thick edge banding matched to the face and applied on every exposed edge, including the ones housekeeping hits with a vacuum. Hardware matters just as much: metal drawer slides, concealed hinges and leveling feet keep casegoods square through years of use.
For seating, look at the frame before the fabric. Hardwood or engineered frames with corner blocking outlast lighter construction. Upholstery foam and fabric should meet the flammability requirements in your franchise documents and local code. The California Bureau of Household Goods and Services publishes the upholstered furniture standard that many specifications reference.
In bathrooms and bar areas, specify moisture resistant cores, sealed edges and tops that shed water.
A ground up hotel, a casegoods renovation and a PIP with a deadline each run on a different clock. The steps stay the same.

Every property needs accessible guest rooms, and the furniture in them has to allow the clearances and reach ranges the standards require. Coral supplies accessible versions of key pieces, including ADA platform beds, ADA headboards and an accessible vanity.
Your architect and franchise documents set the room layouts. For the federal requirements, refer to the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design. Tell us which room types are accessible in your matrix and we will quote the matching items.
We also furnish other brands in the same family, including Holiday Inn and EVEN Hotels. See them side by side on our IHG hotel furniture page, or browse the wider hotel furniture range.
