Homewood Suites furniture has one job above all: to make the suite feel like a home, not a hotel room with a microwave. Guests are often relocating, on a long assignment or traveling as a family, and they choose an upscale extended stay hotel because they want space, a full kitchen and a living room with a door between it and the bed.
The sofa, the dining table and the kitchen cabinets carry most of that residential feel, so they deserve the closest attention in your specification.
Coral Hotel Furniture supplies Homewood Suites furniture for every suite type and for the public areas. We work from the approved brand specification you provide as the owner, and build each piece to the sizes and finishes it sets out.
A Homewood Suites property usually offers a mix of suite types, and the furniture list changes with each one.
The studio keeps living, sleeping and kitchen zones in one open room. Furniture has to define those zones without walls. A sofa with its back to the bed is one common way to do it.
Here the bedroom has its own door. The living room takes the sofa, lounge chair, coffee table, media console and dining set. The bedroom takes the headboard, bed, nightstands, dresser and often a second television wall.
Two bedroom suites serve families and colleagues traveling together. They repeat the bedroom package, and they need a larger dining table and more seating in the shared living area.
The living room is where the residential look is won or lost. Plan a full size pull out sofa so the suite can sleep extra guests, a lounge chair, a coffee table and side tables with a lamp at each seat. A media console with closed storage hides cables and gives guests somewhere to put their own things.
A full kitchen means full height cabinets, a countertop with a sink, and space for a full size refrigerator, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher as listed in your specification. We supply kitchen cabinets and units for suites alongside the loose furniture, so door finishes can coordinate with the casegoods.
Next to the kitchen, a round dining table or a rectangular table with proper dining chairs gives guests a place for a sit down meal. Many guests use it as a desk too, so choose a top that resists scratches and heat.
Bedrooms follow the upscale hotel pattern: an upholstered headboard, a platform bed, nightstands with power and a dresser with deep drawers. Long stay guests unpack completely, so drawer count and closet fittings deserve more attention than in a transient hotel.
A closet with hanging space, shelves and a luggage bench near the suite entry keeps bags out of the living room.
A vanity with a quartz top suits the upscale position of the brand and stands up to daily use.
| Area | Furniture items | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Living area | Pull out sofa, lounge chair, coffee table, side tables, media console | Residential proportions, durable upholstery, closed storage for cables |
| Kitchen | Base and wall cabinets, countertop, island or peninsula where specified | Moisture resistant boxes, quality hinges, finishes that match the casegoods |
| Dining | Dining table, dining chairs | Scratch and heat resistant top, comfortable chairs for long sitting |
| Bedroom | Headboard, platform bed, nightstands, dresser | Deep drawers, bedside power, quiet bed base |
| Storage and entry | Closet system, luggage bench, entry console | Plenty of hanging space, solid shelves, sturdy bench |
| Bathroom | Vanity, mirror | Quartz or stone top, sealed cutouts, storage for a long stay |
| Public areas | Reception desk, lounge seating, communal table, breakfast tables | Warm finishes, firm seat foam, protected edges |
Public areas at an upscale extended stay hotel are meant to feel like a large, comfortable living room. Guests who have been in the building for weeks use them to get out of the suite.
Seating should be varied: sofas and lounge chairs grouped around low tables, a communal table for working, and dining tables for breakfast. Warm wood tones and upholstered pieces fit the residential character better than hard, institutional furniture.
Our lobby and breakfast furniture collection covers these pieces. If you would like help reading your public area drawings, get in touch with our team.
A residential look still needs commercial construction. Homewood style casegoods often use wood veneer or a realistic woodgrain laminate on visible faces, with thick edge banding and solid wood or metal details on legs and pulls.
Sofas and chairs should have hardwood or metal frames, commercial seat suspension and high density foam. Foam and fabric should meet the flammability requirements named in your brand standards.
In the kitchen, look at box construction, hinge quality and drawer runners first. The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association publishes cabinet performance standards that are a helpful benchmark. Use moisture resistant board at the sink base and in bathrooms, and seal every cutout.
Getting the style right matters as much as durability on this brand. Our guide on choosing hotel furniture that fits your hotel style has more on balancing the two.
Each flag’s standards come from the brand owner, which shares them with franchisees and through Hilton’s development pages. Your approved documents are our brief.
A renovation or PIP in an extended stay hotel has to work around guests who are living on site. Tell us your timeline at the start, and we plan the order around it.
Accessible suites affect the bed, the bathroom and the kitchen. Coral supplies ADA platform beds, ADA headboards and accessible vanities, and builds kitchen units to the accessible layouts in your drawings.
Requirements are set out in the U.S. Access Board ADA accessibility standards. Your design team applies them to each suite plan, and we build what the approved drawings show.
